Long White Clouds: “Aeroplanes” è il disco d’esordio

Esce su tutte le piattaforme “Aeroplanes” il disco d’esordio della band italo-neozelandese-americana Long White Clouds, un’esplosione di singoli indie pop rock che mancava come l’ossigeno al panorama attuale.

“Aeroplanes” è il primo album dei Long White Clouds, registrato presso il Triangolo Lab di Bergamo, con il supporto dei produttori Federico Laini e Riccardo Zamboni, con cui la band aveva già collaborato nel 2020 per il primo EP. Le tracce sono state incise in due blocchi e in due momenti diversi, febbraio 2023 e novembre 2023.

Il 2023 è stato un anno molto importante dal punto di vista creativo per i LWC, con una crescente confidenza sviluppata attraverso i nuovi brani, sia in sala prove che in studio. L’approccio alla produzione è stato molto naturale, mantenendo sempre in primo piano la voglia di far emergere un lavoro finale che potesse rappresentare nella maniera più sincera possibile il carattere dei brani e della band. 

Le 8 canzoni presenti nell’ LP raccontano momenti di profonda intimità alternati a immagini più leggere, come in un breve viaggio introspettivo. Ed è proprio il tema del viaggio che ha ispirato il titolo dell’album, “Aeroplanes”: elementi fondamentali per i LWC, sono i mezzi che hanno fatto incontrare i componenti della band e i fili immaginari che hanno intrecciato gli avvenimenti, i sentimenti e le aspettative del gruppo, alimentandone le menti e i cuori. Spesso centrale il tema delle relazioni interpersonali e del ruolo che possono assumere rispetto a questioni profondamente individuali.

“Aeroplanes”, the debut album by the Italian-New Zealand-American band Long White Clouds, is out today on all platforms. It’s an explosion of indie pop rock singles that was missing from the current music scene like oxygen.

“Aeroplanes” is our first real album, which was entirely recorded at Bergamo’s Triangolo Lab, under the cool and expert guidance of producers Federico Laini and Riccardo Zamboni, who had previously collaborated with us for our 2020 EP. The tracks on this album were laid down in two separate 4-day sessions, first in February 2023, and then again in November of the same year. 

For us, 2023 was a pivotal year of creative exploration. We knew we had a collection of new material that was worth the extra efforts we all had to make to lovingly record them. With each studio session, our confidence grew as we delved deeper into our own abilities, taking these tracks from their conception to this fully realized state. Our approach to production remained grounded, always aiming to capture the authentic essence of the songs and the collective spirit of the band. We love these songs.

This collection of 8 original songs offers an honest journey, up and into the clouds, through a range of emotions, from moments of introspective depth to light-hearted reveries, a reflective voyage of self-discovery influenced by real-life experiences: pleasures and hardships. It’s this theme of exploration that inspired the album’s title, “Aeroplanes”: a nod to the vehicles that brought us together from the four corners of the planet, and the intangible connections that intertwine our shared experiences, emotions, and dreams, fueling our creativity and passion. Amidst a melodic tapestry, these themes of interpersonal relationships echo, shedding light on their profound significance in our collective and individual lives.
